DAVID DARBY
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
David has been working in media and entertainment for ten years. Most recently he worked at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment where he oversaw finance responsibilities for Acquisitions and Direct-to-Video. At Fox, David managed the budgets and financial approvals of acquired titles and the forecasting and budgeting of over 100 acquired catalog titles, which generated over $100 million in revenue and $20 million in contribution. Participating in the various film markets and interacting with producers honed his ability to evaluate the commercial viability of independent film projects.
Prior to managing the acquisitions business, he was responsible for financial analysis and planning for all of Fox’s over $2 billion in new release home video titles were he was intimately involved in the studio’s greenlight process.
He began his career working in investment banking at the Wall Street firms of Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan. At J.P. Morgan, he worked in Equity Capital Markets, where he participated in the initial public offerings of Fortune 1000 Companies. He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Morehouse College and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School.
